Micronant Team, founded by the master's degree students of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, ranked among the finalists under the Teknofest Biotechnology Innovation category with their project titled "Recombinant expression characterization of microbial endoglucanase and investigation of its effect on the hydrolysis of lignocellulosic raw material sources".

The project aims to realize the recombinant production of cellulase enzyme resistant to harsh industrial conditions using molecular cloning techniques.

The Micronant Team consists of master's degree students Sümeyye Cmeli, Zeynep Gül Aytaç, Nurayan Aydın, Çağrı Seda Kul, under the supervision of Faculty of Science and Letters member Dr. Ali Osman Adıgüzel.
