A cooperation protocol was signed between Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) and Zh. Zhiyembayev Kazakh Research Institute of Plant Protection and Quarantine in Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, aiming to share academic knowledge and personnel experience.
OMU Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal and the SEO of Zh. Zhiyembayev Kazakh Research Institute of Plant Protection and Quarantine Duisembekov Bakhytzhan Alisherovich signed the protocol text at the ceremony held at the Rectorate office.
The signed agreement aims to exchange academic personnel and improve the existing relations between the countries through cooperation between the two institutions in the field of scientific research and development.
Rector Ünal: "I believe this protocol will form a basis for successful studies."
Rector Ünal, speaking at the signing ceremony, stated that Turkey and Kazakhstan's partnership and stakeholder partnership in various fields will bring along different achievements, and said: "First of all, I would like to thank you very much. For two brotherly countries and two brotherly nations to be side by side in scientific activities and research, it is necessary to cooperate through such protocols. This step we have taken is also precious. In addition, I see the will of our heads of state on cooperation as strengthening the road opened. Turkey and Kazakhstan have different achievements and experiences, and these experiences need to be shared. This need should be met quickly using the opportunities between brother countries and institutions. Therefore, I believe that this protocol will form the basis for qualified studies. I think that the project-oriented gathering and working of students and academic staff, especially in the axis of scientific research, will strengthen us and improve the relations between the two countries. I wish the protocol good luck again."
SEO Duisembekov "The protocol to be implemented constitutes a first step between Turkey and Kazakhstan."
SEO Duisembekov, who shared his ideas and impressions before the protocol signing, pointed out that the agreement was an important step and said, "The protocol to be implemented constitutes a first step between Turkey and Kazakhstan, and we consider this step as a big step. As a major institute in the field of plant protection and quarantine, it is of great importance for our change and transformation that our young people receive training from OMU and learn and experience innovations. The experience of our young researchers through education will serve this goal. We hope the cooperation between the two institutions will lead to a good union. In addition, we believe that the data in this field owned by the two countries will be reflected in the cooperation within the scope of the protocol. I would like to thank my esteemed Rector and the OMU community and offer my respects."
