President of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) Hasan Basri Kurt, who was in Samsun to participate in Teknofest Black Sea, paid a visit to Rector of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Prof Dr. Yavuz Ünal to develop cooperation.

During the meeting held at the rectorate office, President Kurt and Rector Ünal exchanged ideas about strengthening the cooperation between the two institutions, projects, and studies that can be done for the development of Samsun and the region.

President Kurt stated that he also visited the OMU stand at the Teknofest and congratulated Rector Ünal on OMU’s success in the Teknofest 2022.

After the office visit, President Kurt and Rector Ünal visited Samsun Technopark and made inspections. Teknopark General Manager Ekrem Altan also participated in the evaluation of Samsun Technopark and KOSGEB cooperation processes.

Rector Ünal thanked KOSGEB President Kurt for his visit and good intentions and stated that the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in the economy is essential and that they want to strengthen their cooperation with KOSGEB in the future.

Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Selim Eren, Prof. Dr. Sevim Alışır, Prof. Dr. Mahmut Başoğlu, and Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr.  İdris Varıcı accompanied the visit to the office, while Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cengiz Batuk accompanied the visit to Samsun Technopark.

The meeting ended with the presentation of gifts and taking a souvenir photo.
