Erasmus Mundus Cooperation with Japanese Universities

Rector of Ondokuz Mayıs University Prof Dr. Sait Bilgiç has been paying a series of official visits to Japanese universities during his visit to Japan in order to develop postgraduate programmes and cooperation within the scope of Erasmus Mundus. Head of International Relations Department Prof. Rıdvan Kızılkaya, and Academic Hiroko Kawamorita from the Erasmus Office have also accompanied Rector Bilgiç during his visits.

Rector Bilgiç and his entourage have met with the officials of The University of Tokyo, Tokyo University of Agriculture, and the University of Fukui in order to develop academic cooperation within the scope of Erasmus Mundus programme.

Visit to Turkish Embassy

In addition to his visits related to Erasmus Mundus joint programmes, Rector Bilgiç also visited the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey and has met with Ambassador Murat Mercan. Stating that they had an exchange of ideas on the cooperation with Japanese universities, Rector Bilgiç said the following; “our Ambassador who is an academician himself has told supportive things about the cooperation we are trying to build with Japanese Universities. It has been a very efficacious meeting.”

Rector Bilgiç and his entourage have also found the chance to visit Tokyo Camii & Turkish Culture Center and meet with the officials of the Center.

Rector Bilgiç and his entourage will continue their visits on Saturday and meet the officials of various technology centres.
