3rd-grade students of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Education’s Department of Mathematics Teacher Education Programme have organized a series of events at the Faculty of Education Conference Hall to celebrate the “March 14, Pi Day”.

Vice Rector and the Acting Dean of Faculty of Education Prof. Vedat Ceyhan, elementary and secondary school students, university students, and academic staff have joined the event.

History of the number Pi, Pi as music, Pi dictionary, the symbol of the number Pi, history and the importance of the number Pi were all explained at the event organized under the supervision of Lecturer Esen Ersoy who is an academic member of the OMU Faculty of Education.

Elementary and secondary school students were given participation certificates at the end of the event.
