In front of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Health Application and Research Center Children’s Hospital, student communities gathered to celebrate the joy of Kübranur Balcı, a young hero who has triumphed over leukemia. The students marked the occasion by releasing colorful balloons into the sky, symbolizing her restored health and happiness.
The event was organized as part of the long-standing “Support Fair and Concerts for Children with Leukemia (LÇDK)” initiative, carried out for many years by OMU’s Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine student communities under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan İnat.
Student communities participating in the event included “EMSA Samsun,” “IVSA Samsun,” “OMÜ VFÖT,” and “OMÜ YET.”
With the participation of numerous students, nurses, and healthcare professionals, each balloon released during the event symbolized the smile, hope, and faith in the future of a child who has recovered.
Students participating in the event stated that Kübranur’s story has become a beacon of hope for all children and emphasized their determination to continue reaching out to more young patients each year.
