"Every Recognized Achievement Inspires New Stories of Future Works"

In his speech, President Erdoğan noted,

"In our culture, merit is subject to acknowledgment. It is our duty to reward the good, the successful, those who pave new ways for our country, and appreciate those contributing to humanity's shared scientific treasury. Successes grow as they are supported, develop as they are embraced, and thrive as they are valued by society. Each acknowledged achievement opens the way for inspiring new stories of future works. With the TÜBA and TÜBİTAK awards we will present, we are striving to do just that. I congratulate all our scientists who work day and night for our country's prosperous future, contributing valuable advancements to the world of science on behalf of myself and our nation.

This year, 77 scientists were deemed worthy of TÜBA and TÜBİTAK awards. We are awarding international TÜBA academy awards to 3 scientists in the health and life sciences and science and engineering categories. With these three awards, our number of TÜBA Academy award-winning scientists rises to 28. We will present TÜBA GEBİP awards to 34 young scientists from 24 universities, awarded to outstanding young researchers. Thus, the number of TÜBA GEBİP award-winning scientists reaches 644. In the scientific authorship awards, 13 Turkish scientific works have earned awards. With three special awards in this category, we also honor the memories of our late professors Halil İnalcık, Kemal Karpat, and Mehmet Genç. With these awards, the number of awarded works will rise to 239. Under the 100th Year TÜBİTAK Awards, we will present seven science awards, one special, one service, and 18 encouragement awards to scientists from 21 universities and research institutions. In total, we will have expressed our gratitude to 77 scientists for their contributions to our scientific and cultural heritage."
