Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Research Assistant Zeyno Nuhoğlu Öztürk was awarded the 'Young Researcher First Prize' at the Seventh International Congress of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (ICVAS) for her work titled "Alternative Methods to Animal Experiments in Toxicity Testing" carried out under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Aksoy.

At the congress, researchers came together to present their innovations in the field with their studies, share their ideas, and strengthen the future of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences. Oral and poster presentations on clinical sciences such as surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology; preclinical sciences such as pathology, parasitology, pharmacology, and toxicology; basic sciences such as microbiology, biochemistry, physiology, histology and embryology, zootechnics, animal nutrition and other subjects were included in the congress program. Recent scientific studies in the field were discussed by attendees, collaborators, listeners, and invited speakers, presenting findings on current and future challenges.
