Students of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) came together to improve the life of Kübra Nur Darıoğlu, a young woman with special needs. Through a project initiated by the Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports, the Ethics and Social Work Community, and the Social Work Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Kübra Nur received a motorized wheelchair and a lift to assist with mobility.
Under the coordination of the OMU Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports and Social Work Department faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senem Gürkan, students visited Kübra Nur's family at their home to deliver the equipment donated by an anonymous benefactor. Members of the Ethics and Social Work Community and Social Work students E. Şevval Çatalbaş, İlkay Karabıyık, Furkan Eltutar, Buse Ateş, and Burak Tural participated in the project.
The students carried out this meaningful initiative ahead of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility by facilitating the lives of individuals with special needs.
