Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) organized a consultation meeting with its stakeholder institutions to discuss planned collaborations. The meeting took place at the Atatürk Congress and Culture Center (AKM). It included participants such as Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Murat Terzi and Prof. Dr. Selim Eren, University Secretary General Prof. Dr. İdris Varıcı, Samsun Deputy Chief of Police Mehtap Arslan, Turkish Red Crescent Provincial President Onur Çoban, representatives from various institutions and organizations in Samsun, academicians, and administrative staff.
The meeting, moderated by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Terzi, focused on extensive discussions and evaluations with external stakeholders regarding the needs of the city and OMU.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Murat Terzi emphasized OMU's unwavering commitment to supporting the city and Türkiye. He highlighted the importance of consultation and synergy, stating:
"We aim to provide a quality education to our students at OMU. To achieve this goal, we must work together with our stakeholders in the city. We are all dedicated to our duties and serve a common purpose. We want to advance OMU alongside our municipality, institutions, and non-governmental organizations. Today, we will listen to your demands and expectations and exchange ideas. Our stakeholders in security, health, youth, and the municipality are always welcome to invite us to participate and share our views and suggestions. OMU has always supported its city and country and will continue to do so. Our university, with its retired and current faculty, has worked hard up to now and will continue to do so. While providing these services, there may be some occasional or systemic issues. We aim to address these issues by coming together and receiving new feedback from you, thereby raising our quality standards even higher. I thank all the external stakeholder institutions for participating in our meeting."
The meeting concluded with the exchange of mutual ideas and impressions, evaluating the collaborations between OMU and external stakeholders.
