In its stride towards becoming a renowned research university and securing its status as a "Candidate Research University," Ondukuz Mayıs University (OMU) has inked a significant collaboration protocol with the Amasya Forest Regional Directorate. This partnership is set to foster a symbiotic relationship that promises advancements in research and innovation.
The signing ceremony at the Amasya Forest Regional Directorate was attended by notable figures from both institutions, including Kavak Forest Management Director Forestry Engineer Emin Tiryaki, OMU Agricultural Application and Research Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Akay, Faculty of Agriculture Administrative Affairs Chief Osman Kop, Landscape Architecture Director Mustafa Ar, and OMU Private Secretary Manager Taha Yasin Zenginbaş.
The agreement, signed by OMU Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal and Amasya Forest Regional Director Ferdi Özer, encompasses a broad spectrum of collaborative efforts. Valid for three years, the protocol mandates cooperation across several key areas, including "Infrastructure Sharing Mobility," "Personnel," "Training," "R&D," "Student Affairs," "Joint Activities," and "Agricultural Extension Services."
In his address, Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal expressed confidence in the protocol's potential to facilitate a productive partnership, yielding fruitful outcomes for both entities. He underscored the significance of OMU's academic and scientific expertise, which the Amasya Forest Regional Directorate will now benefit from.
