The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) announced the data regarding six indicators in the category of  "Internationalization", in which the data on foreign students and academic staff at universities and the projects supported by international funds are examined.

It was stated that 153.662 international students were enrolled at 186 universities in Turkey  at the 2018-2019 academic year. According to the table on the universities with the highest number of international students, Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) ranked fifth with 5176 students.

Anadolu University placed first with 6661, Istanbul University placed second with 6648, Karabük University placed third with 5782 and Bursa Uludağ University placed fourth with 5430 international students.
