Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) held a grand graduation ceremony for the 300 students who graduated in the 2023-2024 academic year.

The ceremony took place at the Student Social Life Center, celebrating the 13th batch of graduates from the faculty. The event was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selim Eren, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Ebül Muhsin Doğan, Paraguay Consul Miguel Maldonado, academics, graduates, and their families.

"You Are Ready to Soar to New Horizons with Your New Wings"

Dean Prof. Dr. Ebül Muhsin Doğan addressed the graduates, expressing confidence in their readiness for the future: "Dear students, we initially met you online before meeting in person. While you were in your third year, our country faced a devastating earthquake, leading to another term of remote learning. Together, we overcame these challenges, and now you are graduating. Although you haven't yet received your diplomas, you're still considered students. Once you officially graduate in the coming days, you will find that life continues with new expectations and responsibilities. So, enjoy the last few days of your student life. This journey has prepared you for your new life, and now you are ready to soar to new horizons with your new wings."

"Ondokuz Mayıs University Is Your Home and Always Will Be"

Associate Dean and Alumni Coordinator Dr. Durmuş Yıldırım emphasized the lasting bond with the graduates: "Dear friends, we are not saying goodbye today. As we send you off, we know the bond we've created will only strengthen in the future. In every step you take in your career, we will be with you in spirit, offering our knowledge, experience, and support. Remember, Ondokuz Mayıs University is your home and always will be."

"We Are Aware of the Responsibility Bestowed Upon Us as FEAS Students"

Speaking on behalf of the FEAS students, Political Science and Public Administration student Orhan Uzuner shared his pride: "It is a great honor for me to speak on behalf of my fellow students. First, I congratulate all my fellow graduates. I also thank our families, who have always supported us unconditionally, and our esteemed professors, who guided us with their knowledge. Thanks to my friends who made these four years even more meaningful and special. Finally, as the first graduates of the second century of our Republic, we are aware of the responsibility bestowed upon us as FEAS students."

The graduation ceremony concluded with the traditional cap toss.
