The program, titled "Rector-Student Meeting," was organized by the Faculty of Theology and held in the Prof. Dr. Hasan Katipoğlu Conference Hall. It was attended by faculty members, staff, and students of the Faculty of Theology.

Moderated by Dean Prof. Dr. Recep Demir

The program, organized to contribute to the academic development of theology students and to guide them in making informed decisions as they prepare for their professional lives, was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Recep Demir.

Essential Tips and Advice from Rector Ünal on Career Building and Success

In the meeting, which also aimed to enhance the dialogue between students and senior management, Rector Ünal talked about his career and shared examples of crucial turning points in his life. He gave students essential tips and advice on shaping their careers and achieving success.

Rector Ünal: "We highly value these kinds of events to strengthen communication and interaction with students and better understand the atmosphere at the University."

During the program, guided by questions from Dean and moderator Prof. Dr. Recep Demir, Rector Ünal expressed his pleasure and happiness at meeting with students face-to-face at the OMU Faculty of Theology, where he is also an alumnus. Prof. Dr. Ünal emphasized the pride of being an OMU graduate and stated that they highly value such events to strengthen communication and interaction with students and better understand the atmosphere at the University.

"You Must Read the World We Live in Well to Prepare for Tomorrow"

In his speech, Rector Ünal underlined that young people must understand the contemporary world well and continued: "You may have certain standards as a theologian, but these standards will change by the time you graduate. Therefore, you must read our world well and prepare for tomorrow. Whatever role you undertake, you must make this preparation. You must gain some achievements during your 4-5 years at the University. If you cannot gain these or do not know what you need to gain and have not decided on it, you will not be aware of where you stand. Therefore, you must walk this path consciously. During your education, you must challenge those who will guide and lead you. It is essential to follow them, stay in constant dialogue with them, and request them to transfer some of their experiences. I define myself as a child of OMU and have never considered the time from being a student to becoming a professor here as merely a means of livelihood. I am always proud to be an OMU graduate, and OMU is a university that fully deserves this and has given us this identity."

Following Rector Ünal’s speech, the "Rector-Student Meeting" continued interactively, with students asking Rector Ünal questions and sharing their evaluations.
