Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School (MTAL) will continue its education as a project school following a decision by the Ministry of National Education.

Students enrolled at OMU MTAL, which has been designated as a project school by the Ministry, can also benefit from OMU's facilities. The school provides both vocational and academic education, offering courses in areas such as cybersecurity, defense electronic systems, and electric vehicles. OMU MTAL is among the specialized high schools in Türkiye focusing on cybersecurity, defense electronic systems, and electric vehicles.

OMU MTAL accepts students from across the country and provides accommodation for students from other provinces through its male and female dormitories. With a capacity of 480 students, OMU MTAL continues into its second year with 240 students and will soon graduate its first class.

Deputy Principal Semih Sözen informed AA correspondent that the school's percentile ranking and admission scores have increased in its first year.

Sözen highlighted that OMU MTAL is one of three high schools in Türkiye established in collaboration with a university, stating:

"In addition to ITU Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Gaziosmanpaşa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, we are the only school providing technology-based education. We define ourselves as a technology high school. Our school offers software, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, defense electronics, and electric vehicles programs. All our departments are directly connected to technology. As a project school, we select expert teachers to provide our students with more competent education, preparing them for their future careers."
