Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) achieved significant success at the European University Games held in Debrecen-Miskolc, Hungary, from July 12-24, 2024, by winning two medals.

Representing OMU, taekwondo athletes Kardelen Demir won a silver medal in the 73 kg category, and Senanur Çelik secured a bronze medal in the 53 kg category. The athletes were accompanied by their coach, Doğan Demir, representing the university.
