Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Medical Faculty Hospital, one of the biggest and most important health centers of the Black Sea Region, has left behind a critical threshold in digital transformation with its technology and automation-oriented investments.
In line with its technological infrastructure studies, OMU Medical Faculty Hospital aims to enable more people to access health services by developing and implementing mobile applications on the 'Digital Hospital' targeted software system.
In the new structure, where all the information systems in the Faculty of Medicine Hospital are fully integrated with all kinds of medical and non-medical technologies, all personnel, especially physicians and nurses, will be able to access hospital-patient data and information within the framework of their authorization mobile from anywhere, spending much less time and energy.
In the statement made by the Medical Faculty Hospital management regarding the said digital transformation, it is stated that there is no manual operation, it works without paper and film, makes the work processes of healthcare professionals efficient, the right drug and medical treatment applications are controlled, reliable data flow standards are determined, and all transactions are complete. It was shared that it is based on a digital hospital model with central operation and advanced technology equipment, where it is built, controlled, and managed with an automation system.
In the statement, it was stated that within the scope of digital hospital applications, it is aimed to provide more effective, efficient, affordable, accessible, and quality health concepts to hospital staff, patients, and their relatives, as well as to provide more effective and efficient service to citizens.
Speaking about the digital transformation in question, OMU Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal pointed out the leading role of the Medical Faculty Hospital in the region and said, "Our hospital has gained an important advantage and achievement by commissioning the essential equipment and applications in the digital hospital system.
