In accordance with the need in the emergency ward determined by Academic Member of OMU Faculty of Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine Dr. Fatih Çalışkan, a videolaryngoscope device used in the intubation of patients who have breathing difficulties is manufactured with the contributions of Samsun Teknopark.

A team consisting of Academic Member of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department Dr. Selim Aras, Academic Member of Industrial Engineering Department Dr. Naci Murat, and Designer Ufuk Karabey has completed a design of the videolaryngoscope device at the Samsun Teknopark Prototype Workshop.

“We aim to manufacture videolaryngoscope devices domestically and nationally”

Stating that their aim is to manufacture videolaryngoscope devices domestically and nationally, Dr. Çalışkan said that “We want to meet the requirements of our hospitals with very cost-effective videolaryngoscope devices which have improved features. The market price of these devices is 30 thousand TL.”

General Manager of Samsun Teknopark Dr. Buğra Çolak who also contributed to the development of the device said that they exist to realize the designs and inventions of scientists and stated that Samsun Teknopark Prototype Workshop will always support University and Samsun Industry in their innovative works.
