The traditional year-end event of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Education Foreign Languages Department was held at Atatürk Congress and Culture Center.

The Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dursun Ali Akbulut, faculty staff and students of the Foreign Languages Department and School of Foreign Languages, teachers and students of the OMU Foundation College and Samsun Doğa College and a great number of invitees participated in the year-end event.

The event, which hosted a great number of participants, started with the opening speech of the Foreign Languages Teaching Department Head Prof. Rıfat Günday. Prof. Rıfat Günday said that the students and academic staff, who worked hard and labored over all year long, deserved such an event at the end of the year and that such events will also contribute to the academic success. Prof. Rıfat Günday also added that this event, organized by the students of the department in the context of multilingualism and multiculturalism, will also contribute to the language skills of students.

The event started with the exhibition of the materials prepared by the students of the Foreign Languages Department. The event continued with the performances of Shakespeare King Lear prepared by the students of the English Language Teaching Department and Survivor Summer School Game prepared by the students of the French Language Teaching Department. The dance show again prepared by the students of the French Language Teaching Department and the imitation show prepared by the students of the German Language Teaching Department were also admiringly performed.

The event ended with music performances in various languages prepared by the students of the French Language Teaching and English Language Teaching Departments.
