Fourteen academics from Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) have been recognized in the “World’s Most Influential Scientists List,” prepared by Stanford University (California, USA) in collaboration with Elsevier Publishing House in the Netherlands.

Scientists in the Top 2% Globally

The list, published on September 16, 2024, includes researchers ranked in the top 2% of scientists globally across 22 main scientific fields and 174 subfields. The list is divided into "Career Impact" and "Annual Impact."

Six in “Career Impact” and Twelve in “Annual Impact”

The list, created annually through the joint effort of Stanford University and Elsevier, takes into account factors such as “Standardized Citations,” “H-Index,” “Hm-Index,” “C-Score,” and “Author Rank by Citation.” From OMU, six scientists were included in the “Career Impact” category, while twelve were listed in the “Annual Impact” category.

Four Academics Listed in Both Categories

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çetin, Prof. Dr. Feryal Akbal, Prof. Dr. Rıdvan Kızılkaya, and Prof. Dr. Selim Ceylan were honored in both the "Career Impact" and "Annual Impact" categories.
