Head of Open Learning Department of Directorate General for Lifelong Learning which is affiliated to Ministry of National Education (MEB) Mr. Mehmet Zeki Yemenici, visited Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Rector’s Office in order to discuss possible collaboration with the OMU Distance Education Centre (UZEM).

Director of UZEM and Senior Adviser to the Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Cengiz, and Head of Project Management Office and Adviser to the Rector Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Demirsoy have joined Rector Prof. Dr. Sait Bilgiç who has hosted Mr. Yemenici in his office.

The main topic of the meeting held between OMU UZEM and MEB was the issue of providing access to Turkish citizens living abroad to open education services. It has been stated that UZEM’s infrastructure and technical equipment were found to be exceptionally suitable for the task and that OMU UZEM is the best Centre among the present ones in Turkey.
