South Sudan won the Ondokuz Mayıs University International Student Association Football Tournament in a game in which they were losing 2-0 to Guinea but managed to score three goals to win 3-2.
OMU International Student Association Football Tournament which started on March with the participation of 16 teams finalized with the championship game between South Sudan and Guinea. First half of the game finished with Guinea leading 1-0. Guinea started the second half in a similar fashion and extended their advantage to 2-0. However, South Sudanese players did not give up fighting and scored 3 goals in a row and managed to keep the score at that, winning the tournament.
At the end of the game there was a trophy presentation ceremony. Players of the champion team received their cup and medals from Rector Prof. Dr. Sait Bilgiç. Players of the runner up team received their cup and medals from Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Vedat Ceyhan.
The ceremony ended with a photo shoot. Director of Distance Education Centre (UZEM) Prof. Dr. İzzet Akça was also among the supporters.
