Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal, who has been appointed as the Rector of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) by the decree of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan dated 14 August 2020 and taken up the position on 17 August 2020, received his certificate of rectoral election at a ceremony held at the Council of Higher Education.

Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal, whose certificate of rectoral election is presented by the President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. M. A. Yekta SARAÇ, said the following: “I would like to express my gratitude to our President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN for entrusting this important assignment with me. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to the President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. M. A. Yekta SARAÇ, to the members of the Council of Higher Education, and to those who have provided full support. I pride myself on being able to work for our country and our city as the Rector of OMU.”

The President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. M. A. Yekta SARAÇ congratulated Rector Ünal in return and wished him success in his new assignment.
