The new board of the Turkish Neurological Society was determined at the 59th National Neurology Congress held in Antalya Belek. In the election held during the congress, Prof. Dr. Murat Terzi, Vice Rector of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU), was elected as the president of the Turkish Neurological Society.

According to the statement from the society, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Öztura, Head of the Department of Neurology at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine, was elected as the vice president; Prof. Dr. Şebnem Bıçakcı from the Department of Neurology at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine as the general secretary; and Prof. Dr. İpek Midi from the Department of Neurology at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine as the treasurer in the new administration.

Prof. Dr. Saime Füsun Domaç from the University of Health Sciences Erenköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Neurology Clinic, Prof. Dr. Hacer Durmuş Tekçe from the Department of Neurology at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Ahmet Onur Keskin from Başkent University Adana Application and Research Center Yüreğir Hospital Neurology Clinic joined as members.

Moreover, this year's Turkish Neurological Society Science and Service Award was given to Prof. Dr. Fethi İdiman.

In his remarks regarding his election as the president of the Turkish Neurological Society, OMU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Terzi stated, "First and foremost, I am greatly honored to have undertaken this role at the Turkish Neurological Society. Being deemed worthy of this duty, alongside the Turkish neurology community's rich heritage and future potential, is a significant responsibility for me. The Turkish Neurological Society is one of our country's most established and prestigious societies. Since its foundation, it has played a crucial role in diagnosing and treating neurological diseases, in scientific studies in the field of neurology, and in neurology specialization training."

Prof. Dr. Murat Terzi continued his speech:
