As part of Organ Donation Week, held from November 3-9, the Organ Transplant Coordination team at Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Medicine Hospital set up informative stands to raise awareness about organ donation. The stands aimed to inform visitors on the importance of organ donation, correct misconceptions, and address frequently asked questions.

At the stands, participants filled out forms to register as organ donors, showing their support for this critical cause.

Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Ünsal Özgen, Liver Transplant Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kağan Karabulut, Regional Coordinator for Organ and Tissue Transplantation Dr. Mehmet Kazak, and other hospital administrators also visited the stands, receiving updates from the staff about ongoing awareness efforts.

This initiative underscores OMU’s commitment to fostering awareness and encouraging life-saving organ donations.
