OMU and Namangan State Pedagogical Institute Sign Academic Cooperation Protocol

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) has signed an academic cooperation protocol with Namangan State Pedagogical Institute, one of Uzbekistan’s most established educational institutions. The agreement aims to strengthen scientific and cultural ties between the two countries through student and faculty exchange programs.

Located in the strategically important Namangan province in eastern Uzbekistan, the Namangan State Pedagogical Institute serves a region with a population of nearly 3 million and is regarded as one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions.

The cooperation protocol was signed during the official visit of OMU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın to Uzbekistan. Under the agreement, the two universities will carry out student and academic staff exchanges and foster collaborative efforts in scientific and cultural fields.

Rector of Namangan State Pedagogical Institute, Assoc. Prof. Khusanov Bahodir Ergashevic, emphasized the significance of the protocol for both institutions and expressed his pleasure in hosting Prof. Dr. Aydın. In return, Prof. Dr. Aydın noted that this partnership would not only strengthen bilateral academic ties but also contribute to the broader unity within the Turkic World. She extended an invitation to Rector Ergashevic to visit Ondokuz Mayıs University.

In addition to exchange programs, the cooperation will include joint projects, seminars, and research activities to enhance academic collaboration between the two institutions further.
