A protocol has been signed between Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) and Al-Quds University.

The signing ceremony held at the Rectorial Office was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Sait Bilgiç, Vice Rector Prof. Mehmet Ali Cengiz, OMU Faculty of Divinity Dean Prof. Metin Yılmaz, Head of OMU International Relations Office Prof. Rıdvan Kızılkaya, Al-Quds University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Abdaljawal, Head of the High Islamic Committee in Jerusalem Sheikh İkrime Sabri and accompanying committee.

Rector Prof. Dr. Sait Bilgiç and Al-Quds University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Abdaljawal signed the protocol which aimed to establish cooperation which will form the basis to enhance relations between Samsun and Jerusalem and especially Al-Quds University and OMU.

Both universities predicted to activate mutual students exchange programs, carry out academic staff and researcher exchange programs and scientific studies during the signing ceremony. After the ceremony the committee took souvenir photos together and presented each other gifts.
