OMU Alaçam Vocational School Celebrates 2023-2024 Graduates

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Alaçam Vocational School (VS) held its graduation ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year.

The ceremony, held at Alaçam Indoor Sports Hall, was attended with great enthusiasm by the students. The event began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Participants included Alaçam District Governor Fatih Kayabaşı, Alaçam VS Director Prof. Dr. İdris Varıcı, Alaçam Deputy Mayor Erdinç Gül, public institution and organization managers, academics, graduates, and their families.

Prof. Dr. İdris Varıcı: "Continue to Develop Yourself with National Culture and Values"

During the graduation ceremony, Alaçam VS Director Prof. Dr. İdris Varıcı emphasized the importance of three stakeholder groups present at the ceremony, sharing the joy of graduation.

"We want you to continue developing yourself by considering the national culture and values along with what you have learned at our university," said Prof. Dr. Varıcı. He continued: "The first stakeholders are you, dear parents. I can imagine how devoted you are to your children and how much effort you have put into bringing them to this point. Thank you for being with us on this meaningful day."

Prof. Dr. Varıcı congratulated the graduates: "Dear students, life is a continuous educational process from beginning to end. Today, you have completed just the associate degree phase of your education. May your passion for learning never end. I wish you success in your future endeavors and professional life. Remember, our university will always be by your side. Congratulations on your graduation, and I wish you a healthy and successful life."

Prof. Dr. Varıcı also extended his gratitude to the academic staff: "I would also like to thank my esteemed colleagues who share the same joy. Congratulations to the dedicated instructors who played a significant role in our students' education, sharing their practical experiences, and guiding them in their professional development."

Celebrating the Graduates

District Governor Fatih Kayabaşı also wished the graduates continued success in their future lives and extended his thanks to the families, participants, and academic staff.

Hopeful Farewell for Future Success

The top graduate from Alaçam MYO, Hanife Cenber from the Call Center Services Program, expressed her gratitude: "I do not see my success here today as solely my own. I thank our school for all the knowledge and cultural values it has imparted to us. I am grateful to our university for providing us with all the facilities and support throughout the academic year."

After Hanife Cenber's speech, gifts were presented to the top students from the school and departments.

The ceremony concluded with students tossing their caps into the air and celebrating with music.
