“It is important for students to learn about potential employers”

In his opening speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Onur Bekiroğlu, stated, “In this panel, we will gain insights from the managers of leading institutions in the media and communication sectors about their work experiences, operational dynamics, and recruitment processes. It is crucial for our students to learn about these institutions where they might find employment opportunities after graduation. We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to providing this opportunity to our students.”

“Doubt is part of the fight against disinformation”

Presidency of Communications Samsun Regional Director Ebubekir Ayrancı emphasized the importance of combating disinformation and shared his views:

“Fighting disinformation is not something a single individual can undertake alone. Incorrect information spreads faster than accurate information. To counter falsehoods, we must act as a unified and conscious community. The first news you read might seem correct, but it is crucial not to share it without verification. Doubt is a part of the fight against disinformation.”

“You need to start planning your career today”

Anadolu Agency (AA) Samsun Regional Director Halil Demir stated, “Each year, approximately 95,000-100,000 students graduate from communication faculties. Considering the high number of graduates and the limited job opportunities, it is essential to start planning your career today. Our institution offers internships to students during the winter and summer terms. I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities.”

“We will continue to ensure accurate and swift public information”

TÜRKSAT Samsun Regional Director Mustafa Öner Dikdere highlighted the importance of technological and infrastructure developments in ensuring that information reaches the public accurately and swiftly:

“At TÜRKSAT, we continue our infrastructure and technology efforts to enable individuals to monitor events in their surroundings quickly and securely. We have made significant progress, especially in communication technologies. A prime example is TÜRKSAT 6A, our first domestically-produced communication satellite. We are committed to ensuring accurate and swift information delivery to the public.”

Dikdere also added that students could apply for internships through the National Internship Program.

The panel concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation and a group photo.
