Speaking at the ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Terzi said, "Today, we are happy to hold the graduation ceremony of our Vocational School of Health students who graduated in the 100th anniversary of our Republic. Welcome to all of you. We are sending off hundreds of graduates of our school to serve in the health field. Our students have witnessed many difficulties during their 2-year education. However, we believe that with the qualified education they have received, our students will represent themselves very well with the self-confidence of graduating from OMU. As Ondokuz Mayıs University, we will always continue to stand by our graduates. I wish success to our graduates who will hold important positions in the fields of health."

"Until today, our Higher School has trained 5 thousand individuals for the health sector"

Director of Vocational School of Health Services Dr. Faruk Tan started his speech by commemorating the Vocational School students Ranya Aşur and Hatice Köse, who lost their lives in the earthquake that struck Türkiye on February 6, 2023, and said, "Welcome to the graduation ceremony of the Vocational School of Health Services for 2022-2023. Founded in 1988 and started its education life with 102 students in 3 programs, our School of Higher Education continues its education activities with approximately 4 thousand students in 21 programs in 2023. As of today, our Higher School has trained 5 thousand individuals in the health sector. You are here today as a part of this. Our students have an identity from the moment they graduate. This identity will often take precedence over their names throughout their lives. They will be remembered not by their names but by their professions. In addition, our graduates should continue to learn throughout their lives, increase their personal development, and be more successful in their professions. I wish our graduating students success and happiness in their lives."

"As strong and dynamic healthcare professionals, we are coming to contribute to the development of our country"

Selin Yıldırım, the Vocational School and Department of Pathology Laboratory Techniques valedictorian, said, "We are ending this path we set out on here today. We are entitled to participate in the graduation ceremony with great honor. Even if years pass, we will remain members of this family. In our education life, where we gained competence in our profession, we had the chance to gain knowledge about the basic principles and principles of the field with the education we received in theory, and we had the chance to gain experience about the beautiful and challenging aspects of our profession with the practical applications we made. We are coming to our country as strong and dynamic healthcare professionals to contribute to the development of our country."

Successful graduates received gifts and certificates of achievement. The graduation ceremony ended with the students throwing their caps in the air.
