A grant support protocol was signed with the Technical Support Program of Middle Black Sea Development Agency (OKA) within the scope of "Zero Waste Leaders are being trained at OMU" project carried out under the coordination of Samsun Teknopark and the cooperation of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU).

OKA will provide financial support to the project with this protocol signed between Vice Rector Prof. Mehmet Kuran and Secretary General of OKA Mevlüt Özen.

Before the protocol signing ceremony, Prof. Yüksel Ardalı, Rector's Advisor and Academician in the Department of Environmental Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at OMU, made a presentation about recycling and waste management.

Mevlüt Özen, the Secretary-General of OKA, stated that they operated in Amasya, Çorum, Samsun, and Tokat. Secretary-General Özen pointed out the meeting held with OMU on industrial fiber crops and he remarked that OMU brought this issue forward even before Turkey discussed it. He then emphasized that Samsun could become the capital city of industrial fiber crops.

The protocol was signed after the speeches. Then Prof. Yüksel Ardalı, Vice Rector Prof. Vedat Ceyhan and Secretary-General of OKA Mevlüt Özen examined the Zero Waste System in the Rectorate.
