Tuluyhan Uğurlu, one of the leading musicians and composers of Turkey, will give a concert in Samsun within the scope of the 100th anniversary of 19 May 1919; the date when the founder and the architect of Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has initiated the Turkish War of Independence at Samsun.

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) will host the renowned musician and composer in Samsun with the cooperation and support of Yeşilırmak Electricity Retail Inc. (YEPAŞ). OMU and YEPAŞ have signed a protocol in this direction. In accordance with this protocol; pianist Uğurlu will perform for Samsuners after the “100th Year International History Symposium” which will be held at OMU Atatürk Congress and Culture Centre on 2 May 2019.

Rector Prof. Dr. Sait Bilgiç has thanked YEPAŞ General Director Arif Akşam for their cooperation and support and expressed his joy and happiness for welcoming Uğurlu at OMU. Rector Bilgiç also explained that the University pays great attention to host events for the 100th anniversary that befits the city.
