Collaboration from OMU on Strengthening the Quality of Healthcare Services and Training Qualified Human Resources

Under the auspices of the Samsun Governorship, a cooperation protocol was signed between Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) and the Provincial Health Directorate for scientific research, strengthening the quality of health services and training qualified human resources, which will be valid for four years.

Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zülkif Dağlı, Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz Ünal, and Provincial Health Director Dr. Muhammet Ali Oruç signed the protocol at the ceremony held in Samsun Governorship.

Project and training activities will be carried out

The cooperation between the two institutions aims to carry out joint studies, projects, and training activities and to share experience and physical and technological opportunities between the health-related research, application, and training units of OMU and the Provincial Health Directorate. The protocol is planned to increase the professional qualification of health personnel, gain scientific research capacity and improve the quality of professional service.

Staff will be encouraged to attend graduate education programs

With the signed protocol it is aimed to carry out postgraduate education programs and other planned studies with the support of academicians in all areas deemed appropriate by the parties, especially in the areas determined as a priority, regarding the quality of education of all personnel working in the Provincial Health Directorate and public health facilities affiliated to the Directorate.

The protocol will contribute to joint scientific research

With the protocol, it is desired to cooperate between theoretical studies and practices, thereby strengthening the provision of health services by enabling OMU academics to evaluate public health facilities as an application area while carrying out their studies. In addition, it is among the protocol's objectives that health personnel cooperates with academicians to carry out national and international projects and contribute to joint scientific research.

Governor Dağlı, Rector Ünal, and Provincial Health Director Oruç, in their speeches at the protocol signing ceremony, wished the protocol to be beneficial for both institutions and our country.
